Обсуждение: pgjdbc Jekyll Website
The current website has pretty much been converted to be built with Jekyll. The site is a skeleton without docs, po, javadocs, and downloads. The Todo page needs updated and work still needs to be done on Changelog, but I think everything is pretty much there. There should be no lost if the existing webpage is replaced with the new at this point. The posted archive and temporary construction website will stay in place for a week before being removed. Construction Site: http://pgjdbc.ourbigsky.com/index.html Jekyll Archive: http://dandymadeproductions.com/temp/jdbc.postgresql.org_jekyll.tar.gz Thank you for your patience. danap
Thanks for all your hard work!!!!

While using Firefox it appears that development.html and download.html are slightly shifted to the right when compared to the other pages.
Other than that it looks good.On Tue, Aug 20, 2013 at 10:52 PM, dmp <danap@ttc-cmc.net> wrote:

Hello, Please see Development/Website. http://pgjdbc.ourbigsky.com/development/website.html If more is needed then additional information can be added, but it is very easy, just "jekyll build". danap. Hello, I noticed this also during building. I'm sure its a styling issue. I have placed it on the list of issues for improvement. That list is short and at this point I need to attend to other projects and wished the new site to be available for publishing to the JDBC Driver group. danap. One minor glitch though: I noticed that the new site still uses "9.2 Development" for the link title to the current documentation. As 9.2 is "released", that should simply be called "9.2", shouldn't it? (Like the other versions). Ok that is better. Remember the provided archive is the skelton of the site. Unless the directories downloads, documentation, and other are populated with content then nothing will show up in the directory _site after building with Jekyll. I'm pretty sure I checked all the new site's links with an automated link checker, after populating with wget from the old site content. You will have to be more specific on what page the link for documentation to head is not present. The old site had it from 9.2devl on the documentation page and the new site has the same, except 9.2 Development. Hello, I reviewed the new website and its links, via pulling the old site and using a link checker after populating content in new site. The only problems found were in the change log file. Attached patch for that correction. I'm stilling working out using git so the patch at this time. danap. dmp wrote: > Ok that is better. > > Remember the provided archive is the skelton of the site. Dana,
I've committed your patch to git.
I guess a big part of this is the actual documentation of the driver which is found in the driver project an is written in docbook.
I currently can't build it due to some xslt processor problem

Ok, your site is now live on the jdbc.postgresql.org again. I have fixed the docs (mostly) not sure what to do about downloads
The docs are not formatted the same as the site which makes them ugly

Hello, The documentation for the folders 8.0 - 9.2 appear to not be present along with all the compressed tars. The reason for the styling, formatting, problems is from 8.0 forward they are missing the reference to the docs.css style sheet. If you can put that in it will fix the problem. Perhaps what should be considered to make things easier is just use jekyll to build the documentation and also put it under git control. I guess that would imply though moving it to the www repository. danap. Dave Cramer wrote: > Dana > > Ok, your site is now live on the jdbc.postgresql.org > <http://jdbc.postgresql.org> again. Yeah in 8.0 we moved to our own website. Now I have to figure out how to style a docbook

Dana,
I added docs.css to the index page and it didn't really fix the problem
I agree the long term solution is to build the docs in the www repo.

Dave, I will take the site's documentation/head HTML content files and incorporate them into the build for jekyll for the www repository. That will become the current documentation. I think its to much work to go back and fix, docs.css, for 8.0 - 9.1. Perhaps all prior docs to current should just be compressed downloads. When I put things together I will post a link for review and approval before submission of changes. danap.
