I am not aware of using something special. Here is my configuration =
using Xcode 5.0.1 and the matching command line tools (october 2013):

Via environment variables:

I had trouble using the clang compiler in the past, so I am using the =
GCC compiler instead. I tried before also with clang, but I had the same =
problem, so I guess that it is no problem of GCC.

path>/applications/pgsql --with-perl

Afterwards I am just doing =91make=92 and =91make check=92.
