Odd. Try removing (renaming) your preferences file (~/.pgadmin3) and then start pgAdmin
Great! Both problems fixed now that I removed the preference file.
FWIW here is a before and after of the relevant section... I haven't been able to narrow down the problem any more than this... maybe it's the duplicate perspective entry?
