cant see tables in pgadmin III 1.18.1

I'm a newbie to the forum and the postgres and DBA (and lots of things) so apologies if I blunder, especially asking a pgadmin Q on postgres forum?

I run PG 9.1

I've created a new DB and tables in an existing PG instance but whilst I can use pgadmin to connect to the DB, I cant see any tables

Any ideas?
