We are happy to announce that Postgres Vision 2017 will take place
June 26-29 in Boston at the Royal Sonesta Hotel on the picturesque
Charles River. Whether you're a user or a developer of PostgreSQL, we
want you to share your vision. We want to learn from your deployment
of PostgreSQL in the enterprise, your development efforts with open
source, your integration success across the data center with
PostgreSQL, and your favorite PostgreSQL features or capabilities.
Submissions can be sent to CFP@PostgresVision.com. If your
presentation is selected, you will get free registration to attend
Postgres Vision, and gain access to VIP events, such as an exclusive
evening reception and Red Sox game at historic Fenway Park. Deadline
to submit is February 24, 2017.
Please include: (1) the title of your presentation; (2) a description
of the content of your presentation, including 5 key audience
takeaways; (3) the target audience (beginner, intermediate, advanced);
and (4) the name, title, corporate affiliation if applicable, and (5)
contact information for all presenters. Postgres Vision presentations
are approximately 45 minutes, including interactive Q&A. Presentations
with multiple participants and/or panel discussions are encouraged.
We are interested in presentations from users, DBAs, developers, and
business leaders, including:
- Case studies illustrating how PostgreSQL can be leveraged for new
app development, cloud replatforming, application modernization, or
migration.
- Discussions of recent or upcoming features, especially relating to
how those features can enable new and innovative uses of PostgreSQL.
- Integration stories around PostgreSQL and other systems such as
MongoDB or Microsoft SQL Server, either via foreign data wrappers, or
other tooling.
- PostgreSQL best practices around security, backup and recovery,
management of unstructured data, or other topics.
- Third-party forks of PostgreSQL or tools and extensions intended to
work with PostgreSQL.
