Same error while connecting through command mode also like
[root@adserver ~]# /etc/init.d/postgresql startStarting postgresql
service: [FAILED]
You have new mail in /var/spool/mail/root
I tried it with my root user.
*But i strongly like to connect it with my pgadmin ! *
