I installed 7.2.2 with the redhat rpms, psql history worked fine
I updated to 7.2.3 with the tarball, psql history disappeared.
I installed the rpm for readline 4.2a.4 and readline-devel 4.2a.4
removed usr/local/pgsql and var/lib/pgsql, did ./configure, gmake, gmake
install
rebuilt data and reran initdb
still no psql history after two rebuilds/reboots
cache says history yes
Any help greatly appreciated
