Connection from a Mac to postgreSQL on a Linux machine

Hi,

I'm currently working on a control system, where I need to have access
to the database on a Linux machine
from a Mac.  The inferface should be able to be called from Labview.
What is the best way to do it ?
Is there a Mac library of libpq or do I need to write an ODBC
connection?
