Hello, in my postgres.conf i use log_filename = 'postgresql-%Y-%m-%d.log' this results in Logfiles named "postgresql-2017-07-14.log" Is there a way to create logfiles "postgresql-<version_number>-2017-07-14.log" Best Regards, Basti
Add the version in the log_filename itself.
Below is the test case.

log_filename

naveed=# select pg_reload_conf();
pg_reload_conf

naveed=# show log_filename ;
log_filename

I want to create a generic own_postgres.conf and include that in postgres.conf I ask a bit wrong. Is there a variable to include postgres version on log_filename?
