Currently, their mailing list consists of PostgreSQL users from El
Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica. I think this is a fair
sampling of Central America.

I'm not entirely happy with the abbreviation. If you'd like to discuss
the naming, CC Víctor and me.

Hi, Selena, after some talking with a pretty big group of people in
Ciudad of Guatemala, we have created the Central America PUG (Grupo de
Usuarios PostgreSQL de América Central), in a effort to bring some
union to the PostgreSQL people around Central America.

Well, I have just created a mailman list with the url
http://listas.centroameri.ca/mailman/listinfo/postgres and I am very
proud to say there are 23 people registered in just one week of
activity!!!  and we are looking to create some simple web page to put
some information about the group

Talking with the good David Fetter he told me PostgreSQL can provide
us some infraestructure to create the mail list and the web page and
that sound pretty good, my bad for not to know about that earlier.

Also I can be the person responsible for the mailing list and for contact,

Suggestion has come in to use 'am-central-pug' as the name to help
with readability.

I agree!  Any objections? If none in next 24 hours, I'd say make it so.

Sounds very good.

I'd like to invite Víctor and the Usuarios PostgreSQL de Centroamérica
to join the pgsql-es-ayuda list for technical questions.  There's
already a big group of people from Centroamérica on it!
