Обсуждение: 6.5.1 release date
Marc, do you have a release date set? I remember July 15. I know Thomas has to regenerate the INSTALL and HISTORY files. I am glad you did not split the CVS tree. Tom Lane and I are both sitting on patches, but it is easier to sit on patches than to double-patch. -- Bruce Momjian | http://www.op.net/~candle maillist@candle.pha.pa.us | (610) 853-3000+ If your life is a hard drive, | 830 Blythe Avenue + Christ can be your backup. | Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania19026

Let's say July 19th, which is a Monday, we do the 6.5.1 release *and* CVS
split? I like Monday releases, since it means most ppl are around for a
few days afterwards "just in case" :)

I don't know if I can hold him back until then. :-) Should we do the split now? I can't do cvs update for about 2 days:
all I get is repeated message:
cvs server: [03:16:34] waiting for anoncvs's lock in /usr/local/cvsroot/pgsql/src/include/rewrite

Oleg

I'd be inclined to say the split should happen a few days before the
release ... but I'm not the one doing the work ;-). Release on the
19th sounds fine to me, but I think we could do the split anytime now.
