Howdy folks:

We are trying to migrate from Mandrake Linux 8.0, kernel
2.4.16 to RedHat Linux 7.2, kernel 2.4.7.

Wasn't there something that said, 'do not use these kernel
versions with Postgres' somewhere?

Thanks!

No, they should work just fine (but do apply available updates, for
other reasons).

Only kernel not to use is 2.4.15. Better kernels where from 2.4.12 upwards
however i would recommend 2.4.16 and above

Uh... don't use 2.4.10 through 2.4.15, at least. The recommended kernel
(which is heavily patched, tested, etc. ) is the official update kernel,
2.4.9-21
