Next steps, expanded web press pack

Folks,

Now that the release is more-or-less done, I'd like some help working on the
"press page" for the release. For an example, see what we did last time:
http://www.postgresql.org/presskit/en/presskit74.html

Here's a few things I'd like to see as additional content on the Press Page:

More features: We have a quite a few features not among the "big 5" that
will nevertheless be very important to existing PG users. These include:
-- $$dollar_quoting$$ for functions
-- named function params
-- automated log rotation
-- alternate file locations
-- greatly expanded documentation on many features
... and there are undoubtedly many more that I'm not thinking of right now.
So first thing it would be real nice if someone could comb through the
release notes and try to figure out everything that's worth listing to make
our community members excited about the new release.

More Add-Ins: We could use a set of links to the most prominent/active/asked
after postgreSQL add-ins so that people know where to find them. This would
include, at a minimum: slony, pgpool, npgsql, pl/perlng, pl/java, odbc,
jdbc, pgsphere, postgis, phppgadmin, pgadmin, and openfts. But additional
suggestions are welcome.

This additional content should be easier to write as we don't have stringent
space considerations to meet.

And, of course, I'll be organizing the translator/contacts brigade later in
the week.

What does "seeding" mean?

I wouldn't know. Talk to David Fetter.

We generally link BT prominently from the announcement of the new version.

Yes, agreed -- and to lower the load on our servers!

I'm sure that David Fetter (david@fetter.org) would love your help in setting
that up.
