I am creating a database that will have about 12 type tables associated with it. Someone has suggested making one type table that would have a field that identifies which types go with each other (like separating them into individual tables).
Is this a wise idea? It seems to me that it could cause duplication of data in some query results. Is it more efficient to limit the number of joins in this manner?
