Обсуждение: Has anyone seen this error? I cannot log into my database.
Linux kernel: 2.4.18-3 PostgreSQL: 7.3.2 I ran make for v7.3.2 successfully and ran the regression tests successfully, but I keep getting the following error when trying to log into my database. Will someone tell me what this is and how to fix it? $ psql -d template1 Welcome to psql 7.3.2, the PostgreSQL interactive terminal. Type: \copyright for distribution terms \h for help with SQL commands \? for help on internal slash commands \g or terminate with semicolon to execute query \q to quit psql: relocation error: psql: undefined symbol: PQgetssl $ __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? I have not seen it before, but it _looks_ like a ssl problem... if you have compiled with --with-ssl option, check if you have open ssh installed... Yes, openssl and openssh are installed. In fact, it won't even compile with that option (--with-ssl) if openssl isn't installed. BTW, all of these are installed: openssl-0.9.6b-18 openssh-3.1p1-3 openssh-askpass-3.1p1-3 openssl095a-0.9.5a-11 openssh-clients-3.1p1-3 openssh-askpass-gnome-3.1p1-3 openssh-server-3.1p1-3 openssl-perl-0.9.6b-18 openssl096-0.9.6-6 openssl-devel-0.9.6b-18 Thanks. --- Michiel Lange <michiel@minas.demon.nl> wrote: > I have not seen it before, but it _looks_ like a ssl > problem... > if you have compiled with --with-ssl option, check > if you have open ssh > installed... > > Michiel > > At 14:31 11-4-2003 -0700, P G wrote: > >Linux kernel: 2.4.18-3 > >PostgreSQL: 7.3.2 > > > >I ran make for v7.3.2 successfully and ran the > >regression tests successfully, but I keep getting > the > >following error when trying to log into my > database. > >Will someone tell me what this is and how to fix > it? > > > >$ psql -d template1 > >Welcome to psql 7.3.2, the PostgreSQL interactive > >terminal. > > > >Type: \copyright for distribution terms > > \h for help with SQL commands > > \? for help on internal slash commands > > \g or terminate with semicolon to execute > query > > \q to quit > > > >psql: relocation error: psql: undefined symbol: > >PQgetssl > >$ > > > >__________________________________________________ > >Do you Yahoo!? > >Yahoo! I haven't seen the error and didn't find it grepping the 7.3.2 source code. I really have no idea if this is a contributor, but I could imagine 3 different versions of openssl might be causing some confusion.
