PGAdmin 4 fatal error after enabling the import logging

Hello,

  I encountered a fatal error while I tried to enable import logging in PGAdmin 4. I would be very grateful if you can give me any advice or suggestions.

Background:

I installed Postgres 14 and PGAdmin 4 on Windows Server 2019.

How to create the problem:

I followed the instructions on Postgres 4 FAQ to enable the import logging. This instruction - https://www.pgadmin.org/faq/#8

The instruction said to create a python file and placed it under \PostgreSQL\14\pgAdmin 4\web.

I copied the syntax on FAQ page and created config_local.py (where the logging level is set to “DEBUG”), and I placed the file in the above mentioned folder.

But afterwards, when I try to launch PGAdmin 4, it is failing to launch with a fatal error. And it looks like Postgres also can’t start up at all.

What have I tried to troubleshoot and fix the problem:

As a test, I changed the logging level in config_local.py to NOSET, it is also causing the error.

I also deleted all files under C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\pgAdmin\sessions, but the error persists when I launch PGADMIN 4.

The only way to resolve the error is to delete all the syntaxes in config_local.py, or delete config_local.py from the folder altogether.

I tried and searched the archive in the general community, but I couldn’t find a matching the record - https://www.postgresql.org/list/pgsql-general/
