reproduced on:
PostgreSQL 8.3.1 on i386-apple-darwin9.4.0, compiled by GCC i686-apple-
darwin9-gcc-4.0.1 (GCC) 4.0.1 (Apple Inc. build 5465)
3rows with index, 2 rows without
