Hi,
FWIW here's some more info that I have found. I tried the earlier version to see if that would work, but it doesn't work, however it at least came up with more information, in that it explains that a dylib is not the correct version:
I think it would be pertinent to have the v3.3 installer tell the user that this won't work. It would appear that pgAgent v3 will never be able to work on Mac OS 10.5. It would also help if the
postgresql.org page reflected that some parts are not compatible with Mac OS X 10.5.
As this is a client's production server I wasn't in a position to try updating the dylib to see if that would fix this issue and potentially break other things.
Hi,
I installed pgsql v9.1.8, used Stackbuilder to download pgAgent v3.3 and tried to run the installer. After getting to the window where the details for the server are confirmed and you enter the postgres user password, you click next - then I got this error (note: this is taken from the crash report): mail:~ admin$ cat /Library/Logs/CrashReporter/psql_2013-04-02-222926_MacServer.crash Process: psql [4184] Path: /tmp/pgAgent/bin/psql Identifier: psql Version: ??? I've never come across this error before, so I appreciate anything that you might be able to offer.
