Thanks for the reply. Weeks of Supply(WOS) is not exactly what I am looking for, but might lead to a solution.
Here is a better description of the problem.
I know the following:
Delivery dates and quantities for items on order or in transit.
A manager will forecast manually what the pending items will be customized with and a date this will happen.
This might very well change and will not be based on any historical information. There is also a 30-45 day delay in delivery since all components come from over seas and must come via ship.
This is meant to point out where manually foretasted productions will fail due to lack of specific parts.
