I was waiting for the current patch to be committed before starting a new discussion. I hoped Ashutosh would lead that discussion, given his deep involvement in PGQ.

Let's keep this thread for the discussion of the original patchset. If
we discuss new proposals here readers will get confused and we may
lose focus. Let's create separate threads for those discussions.
I agree the current patch should be completed first,
and I look forward to Ashutosh leading the discussion
on next steps after the current work is committed.
