Hi, The organizing team for 2026.pgconf.dev is making some changes to the way that we organize things on Tuesday. One aspect of this is that, instead of, for example, having one big developer meeting covering various topics, we want to have more focused developer meetings on specific topics. In general, we want more people to propose content for Tuesday. I have written a blog post explaining the new structure here: https://2026.pgconf.dev/news/tuesday-2026 Of course, nothing will happen (or, at least, nothing good will happen) unless people actually propose content that fits into this new structure. While I encourage anyone reading this to consider whether they have something to propose, whether a regular talk or something specifically for Tuesday, I would like to extra specially encourage people who would like to have a developer meeting on a specific topic to propose it to the CfP as a "Community Discussion Section". You can find the CfP here: http://2026.pgconf.dev/cfp.html There will be an opportunity to propose more developer meetings after January 16th, when the main CfP closes. However, if you already know that you want to have a developer meeting on, say, multithreading, or AIO/DIO, or cfbot, then please submit it to the CfP now instead of waiting until some later point. All that will happen if you wait is that it will be more work for us and we'll be less likely to be able to accommodate what you want. What you should do specifically is: - Figure out who you definitely want to have in that meeting with you. - Make sure they are on board with that idea. - Submit to the CfP accordingly, following the instructions therein. If you think this new structure is good, or bad, or if you have any other feedback on it, or if you need help figuring out what or how to submit, please feel more than free to reach out to contact@pgconf.dev. Thanks, -- Robert Haas 2026.pgconf.dev Organizing Committee
