Hi, I am trying to learn Postgresql. Though basic, I have a problem with starting the postgres at boot, placed the following in /etc/rc.local: su -c '/usr/local/pgsql/bin/pg_ctl -D /usr/local/pgsql/data -l /var/log/postgresql/postgresql.log start' postgres but, at times I find the process, other times it is absent (ps aux | grep postgres). Help is highly appreciated.
