I installed as per instructions up to item 20. b. createdb
I get the following message.....
Connection to database 'template1' failed.
connectDB() -- connect() failed: No such file or directory
Is the postmaster running at 'localhost' and accepting connections on Unix
socket '5432'?
createdb: database creation failed on postgres.
I am loading PostgreSQL 6.5.2 on
OS is RedHat LINUX 2.0.30
hardware is i486
