I'm not a Solaris person, and I never plan on becoming one, but Sun's Opteron hardware is quite nice. The remote management was one of the features that sold me -- full control over power, etc. and serial-over-LAN, through an SSH interface. Sun don't support Debian officially (but we don't have a software support contract anyway, so I'm not too fussed), but I'm pretty sure they support at least SLES and RHEL. Thanks Leigh
