PQFInish doesn't work

Hello,

        I work on Windows2000 and Visual studio C++. My postgres server
runs on a distant Linux computer. For the connection socket is
automatically used.
I cannot finish my connection. I use PQfinish API but the process of
connection is never finished.

Does anyone already face this problem ?
