Hi,
I'm running a Postgres95-Database on HP-UX B.10.20 . The Database
consists of only 3 tables. We send queries via shellscripts ( PSQL ) and
via C-programs with libpq from a Motif-frontend. It all worked properly
until November 1998. From this time my users got this terrific timeout -
possible deadlock message even by sending only a SELECT-Query to a
table. My only solution is to kill some backend processes. But this
cannot be the final solution. In peak times I have about 20 users on
that database simultaneously. I cannot kill all backends to help one
single user. What can I do ?
