If we were going to have that kind of rewrite why not: http://docs.postgresql.org/ -> points to /current/static/index.html I can see the benefit to strategic use of mod_rewrite that enables us to do funky stuff... maybe even some cool stuf like: www.postgresql.org/show/changelog Which would dynamically pull the changelog for the last day as an RSS or even: www.postgresql.org/search/pitr Which would pull out the first three links for pitr from search.postgresql.org.
