stable and dev source code snapshots?

At ftp://ftp.postgresql.org/pub/snapshot/, there are "dev" and "stable" 
snapshots.  "dev" is 8.4devel, "stable" is 8.2.7.  The latter is obviously 
outdated.  Perhaps someone wants to do the work to provide snapshots for all 
supported stable branches.  But otherwise the stable snapshots should be 
removed.
