I have had an issue getting plsh working with 8.0.x  Even after editing some
of the source code.  I contacted Peter E about it and he said he would like into
it.  I think you can run exec from both plperlu and plphpu.  You may want to look
into those to see if you can get what you want.  They may even provide more flexibility.
