I am a novice! I would like to know
1. if there is any comparison ratings made by reliable independent groups on transaction processing performance of OSS stacks, say linux+postgresQL+APache+PHP and any other?? I just wanted this with refernce to proprietary software becnhmarks avlbl at www.tpc.org.
2. Are there websites where i can look at +/_ of OSS RDBMS vis a vis proprietary RDBMS?
