Re: Initial draft for our "Code of Ethics and Conduct"

Part of being responsible includes good and active communication.
If one takes on a responsibility and cannot fullfill it completely, that person
must communicate to the group as soon as possible so that someone else can
pick up the task or the group can work around the problem.  As
this is a volunteer group, people have other responsibilities and
sometimes have to bail out.  Good communication is critical for
this type of situation.

This idea follows for items that have a due date and cannot be
completed by that time.  The responsible person must communicate
that information in a timely manner.

We know these things happen, but if we make a point to talk to
each other, then shifting responsibilities does not have to be
an overwhelming problem.

Also, who is considered to be "a member" at this time? Josh, Bruce
and Robert Treat are the ones listed on the web site.  What about
other active members of the mailing list?  What is the criteria for
being a member of the advocacy group?  Who decides?
