We've been kind of drifting along without a specific plan for
when to put out a second beta for v18. The -packagers list
started to complain about the lack of one, since there have
been catalog changes since beta1 and the discrepancies are
problematic for some folks. Hence, we'll do 18beta2 next
week (usual Monday-to-Thursday timing). Since the August
quarterly release date (the 14th) is so late in the month
this time around, that still will leave four weeks between
beta2 and beta3.
