Probably does not matter in this case, but the actual version number
would be helpful. Mainly because latest is a point in time thing and if
the problem does turn out to be version related issue then it would be
helpful to those that run across this thread in the future to know what
version is being discussed.

Can you elaborate more on what the actual setup is?

In particular the ODBC driver settings.

Are you running PGAdmin from the same machine as the SQL server?

In other words is there a difference in the network path between the two
