50 sounds okay and sufficient. But I do not get that much. I get about 50 of my transactions (2updates + 1insert + some selects) per minute! I do not select the big table before inserting And yes, I do use indices. But for one key there are only two different values in the big table. Also, please take note that I'm still using 6.2.1 for this test. I will switch to 6.3. as soon as the ODBC driver is working again.
