planned switch over master/slave

Hello

When I stop the master before promoting a slave I get the error below from the slave. Should I just ignore it and go on to promote slave?

Im using Pg v10

2021-01-18 14:31:29.090 GMT [25770] FATAL:  could not send end-of-streaming message to primary: no COPY in progress
2021-01-18 14:31:29.091 GMT [25766] LOG:  invalid record length at 6/79000098: wanted 24, got 0

Hi;

   You can ignore it. It says the streaming is broken. you can promote the slave
