Обсуждение: secondary password file
I read in the 7.3 upgrade docs that the secondary password file and pg_password utility have been removed in 7.3.2. I am currently using them to control user access to databases. I have several databases on one server and need to ensure that only certain people can access each one. Will PostgreSQL 7.3.2 handle this directly?
Thanks

Will PostgreSQL 7.3.2 handle this directly? Sort of. The mechanism is different. See the discussion from just prior to the release of 7.3. I think this is the thread I'm remembering: http://archives.postgresql.org/pgsql-hackers/2002-07/msg01279.php A -- ---- Andrew Sullivan 204-4141 Yonge Street Liberty RMS Toronto, Ontario Canada <andrew@libertyrms.info> M2P 2A8 +1 416 646 3304 x110
