Default logging (log_statement) versus pgaudit

Is the pgaudit.log setting, for pgaudit, independent of the default logging setting (log_statement)?   Can log_statement be ‘none’ while the pgaudit.log be ‘all’?

Independent, yes, but pgaudit is designed to be used in place of log_statement = 'all'
