ok - let me clarify my last question a bit more..
Why do I need to use a cursor in a select statement with the _API_,
yet with the psql user interface, I do not?
I understand that for LARGE datasets, a cursor may help in
client/server interaction, but why isn't there consistency between the
api and the user/console interface?
