Hello,
I am trying to install Postgresql v6.4 on an HPUX system. Using
gcc 2.7.1 to compile on HPUX 9.07, the compile runs okay, but I get a
core dump when I try to run createdb. If I try to compile using the
HPUX C compiler (version unknown, how do I find out?), the compile hangs
up when trying to link in alloca. alloca is not a standard HPUX library
routine, but it is standard in gcc. I wanted to try the compile on HPUX
10.20, but we are missing as (assembler) on our current system.
The compile on HPUX 9.07 with gcc went fine with no errors. Any thoughts
from anyone on the HPUX port?
Frank
