Do you mean automatically inventorying a system by simply accessing a web
page, or simply a web based application that is used to record such
information? The former requires a custom plugin, the latter is not
necessarily difficult depending on how detailed you want to be. You could
probably find software (shareware or demos) that you can model your
application after.
