Connection Failure

I looked through the archives but couldn't find anything that
specifically addresses the problem I am having.

Here is my setup.

Windows XP
PostgreSQL 8 Beta
psqlODBC driver

I have setup a DSN

Name: PostgreSQL
Database:  assure
Server:     localhost


This is all installed on my laptop. While my laptop is connected to a
network everything works great, but the minute I disconnect my laptop
I start getting Database Connection failures.

Can anyone give me any guidance?

Maybe you can try 127.0.0.1 instead of localhost.
