Обсуждение: mysql to postgres
I wanted to try phpnuke cause I have read that they are also supporting postgresql but the support ends when I'm downloading this one and I want to create the datastructure then I now what "real support" is when I'm finding only a mysql sql-file does anyone knows about a mysql to postgres converter or have I to do the changes myself Epi
Ewald, > does anyone knows about a mysql to postgres converter > or have I to do the changes myself If you want to convert a database, there are a number of scripts, both in the CONTRIB section of most FTP mirrors, and on TechDocs (http://techdocs.postgresql.org/). For making changes to PHPNuke, you'll have to contact that project. However, they may just tell you Do It Yourself, as they are an open-source project. If you're looking for a port of PHPNuke that works with PostgreSQL, go to http://www.spaghettibrain.com
The PHPNuke site lists it as a *valid* port. I played with it a bit and didn't run across any problems, but I can't say I tested it thoroughly, just enough to realize that PHPNuke wasn't the solution I needed.
Warning: you may want to brush up on your Italian first, or run it through Altavista's babelfish if your Italian isn't quite up to spec.

TIP 4: Don't 'kill -9' the postmaster
Since there seem to be a lot of PHP people here, can anyone point me to a graphical user interface for PHP? I'd like something that handles PHP as well as PHP handles PostgreSQL through phpPgAdmin. The reason I'm asking is that I'm doing all this with Cold Fusion now and I may need to switch. Tnx. Frank Hilliard
