I don't know what pgadmin does, but have you tried pgaccess?

Well, pgadmin allows me to look at all the tables, view data in them, create
views, new tables etc., all of them graphically. But it is only available
for windows clients.

I will check out pgaccess.

IIRC the pgadmin guys are rewriting the whole app in c++ and making it cross
platform. You might want to check their site to see if you can get anonymous
cvs access...
