well I don't think so, I mean I have had it working for a month or so but then I started dealing with the ACE library, which is pretty neat and a X-C++-library JX, it's been a struggle, and this is probably the reason why it doesn't work, but what it is, well I don't know. If ya got any ideas, any at all please get back to me The function it can't execute is shmget (something like that) and some other shmxxx methods. regards Tobias ---------- > Från: James Thompson <jamest@math.ksu.edu> > Till: Tobias Eriksson <tobias.eriksson@mbox311.swipnet.se> > Ämne: Re: [INTERFACES] couldn't start postmaster - couldn't allocate sharedmemory > Datum: den 22 februari 1999 23:04 > > On Mon, 22 Feb 1999, Tobias Eriksson wrote: > > > > > the command > > "postmaster ", well then it responded back that it could not allocate > > shared memory, > > I'm just guessing. Tobias - Any chance your out of semaphores? Try ipcs to see what's allocated, then the ipcclean script (in your lib/postgresql/bin dir) to clean them up.
