Обсуждение: Delphi + postgresql questions

Hi,

I'm new on client/server development so if you could help me on some
questions about Postgresql and Deplhi 4:

1. Does someone have a suggestion of a BDE alternative to use with
postgresql ODBC driver? I heard that a ODBC component is really faster
than BDE, is it true?

2. Is there any known compatibility problem between Delphi and
Postgresql ODBC driver?

3. I have tried a little ODBC Express and I found some problems on
controlling multi-user access, specially on concurrence updates in the
same register. Is there in fact a problem or I'm doing something wrong?

4. My network has a low traffic and my database has no blob field, so
the registers are really small (like 600 bytes or less). Is there any
reason to use Cached Updates or should I use live results?
