Обсуждение: Coasting to 6.3 release
We are coasting to the March 1 release date. No show-stoppers, assuming Thomas finishes the new manuals. We have a lot of nice effort go into the release, with many people involved, and some really heavy coding. Seems we did all the easy coding in previous releases, so this release required the hard work, and we have some heavy-duty features/fixes to show for it. Also seems like we have more 'expert' developers now than we ever had before. And we haven't really lost any big developers since we started with PostgreSQL, except maybe Bryan Henderson. I take this stability to mean we are managing things well, and the effort is well co-ordinated and fruitful. And I feel the features in 6.3, especially subselects, bring us up one wrung on the database ladder. -- Bruce Momjian | 830 Blythe Avenue maillist@candle.pha.pa.us | Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania 19026 + If your life is a hard drive, | (610) 353-9879(w) + Christ can be your backup. | (610) 853-3000(h)

And, he's proven a few times in this release that he's still out there lurking :) Marc G. Fournier Systems Administrator @ hub.org primary: scrappy@hub.org secondary: scrappy@{freebsd|postgresql}.org

He posted me new test data and I'll try it now. I mostly believe that problem caused by using indices in inner plan of MergeJoin. Hope to fix it soon... Vadim

The better the software, the more likely someone will use it --> The more likely someone will find a bug or need a new feature and have the skills and desire to fix it. 2)Related to #1. Inclusion of pgsql in some major linux distributions is drawing in more developers and users. This effect seems to be far more powerful than the apparent boost derived from the book publication that spurred development of v6.2 Marc (not-to-be-confused-with-Hermit-Hacker) Zuckman marc@fallon.classyad.com
Just fixed using indices in inner plan of MergeJoin. Vadim
