I want to know if the function bpchar_name exists and in what version
of postgresql.

Im installing the software SAGU, but in the script that generates the
tables there is a function bpchar_name. The error is:

psql:base_sagu.sql:1307: ERROR:  Function 'bpchar_name(bpchar)' does
not exist
        Unable to identify a function that satisfies the given
argument types
        You may need to add explicit typecasts
