DEBUG_PRINT_PARSE

How come the DEBUG_PRINT_PARSE variable is unrecognized. I want the server
to dump to a log the queries that it sees and the results that it is returning.
Does Postgres need to be compiled a certain way to turn these debugging 
variables on?
