Does anyone know what the unknow error type 'oid8' generated
by initdb means (v7.0 under linux)?
postgres@mbspc:~ > /usr/local/pgsql/bin/initdb -D /usr/local/pgsql/data
This database system will be initialized with username "postgres".
This user will own all the data files and must also own the server process.
Fixing permissions on pre-existing data directory /usr/local/pgsql/data
