Обсуждение: ESRI Moving to Support PostgreSQL
In the "large enterprise support" category, GIS giant ESRI is going to provide support for PostgreSQL in their "database neutral" franken-product ArcSDE <http://www.esri.com/software/arcgis/arcsde>. This development has been rumored for many years, and the official announcement probably represents a new low in rocky Oracle/ESRI business relationship. <http://events.esri.com/uc/QandA/index.cfm?ConferenceID=DA494555-C04F-A071-2407CB34C9CB9287>

It will be a major step in PostgreSQL adoption in GIS shops! I know one that will jump right in if there was support for PostgreSQL in ArcGIS. When this "sometime after ArcGIS 9.2" is going to be? Regards, Nicolai
